“Never once have I requested one of my farmers to come in to my office.” This is what Dan tells us regarding the convenience of working with NIA. “These families work from dawn until well after dusk. I will work into their schedules when it is convenient for them. Many times that means I am out at their farm at 6am or 9pm.”

Meet Dan Johnson:
Dan and his wife, Marcy, and their three daughters live on a small, beef farm between Newaygo and Fremont. They have a small herd of Angus and Hereford brood cows and they fatten between 15 and 20 calves every year. Dan cuts 55 acres of hay and mixes his feed for these calves. His wife and daughters are involved in 4-H in Fremont. Dan is licensed with the State of Michigan for Property & Casualty Insurance as well as Life and Health. Dan works with the agency’s many farm accounts.
